How to Restart Services Using WHM

cPanel also allows you to restart services on your VPS through WHM instead of the command line.

  1. First, you will need to log in to your WHM. The login address for the WHM is https://IPADDRESS:2087 (replacing IPADDRESS with the actual IP address of your server). If you do not know your IP address, continue following these steps
  2. Log in to your client area
  3. Click on Services
  4. Click the green Active button on your VPS server
  5. On the next screen, you will see the IP address of your server. From here, you will also be able to reset the root password if needed
  6. Log in to your WHM as per the first step above
  7. Once logged in, go to Restart Services
  8. Select the service you wish to restart (e.g. “SQL Server (MySQL)” or “HTTP Server (Apache)”) and click Yes to restart
